Buhari confers GCFR, GCON honours on Tinubu, Shettima

President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred the national honour of the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

President Buhari also conferred the vice president-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima with the Grand Commander of Order of the Niger (GCON) honour.

Tinubu was awarded the highest national award of Grand Commander of the Order of Federal Republic (GCFR) reserved for Presidents.

The awards were bestowed on the duo by the outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari at an investiture ceremony on Thursday morning at the State House, Abuja.
