A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Honourable Solomon Bonu, has reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging residents of Badagry Constituency I to vote for all the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections despite losing his bid for a return ticket.

Bonu made the declaration on Friday during the official unveiling of the Starboy Movement for President Bola Tinubu, Deputy Governor Kadri Hamzat and Damilola Sonayon (PBAT/KOH-DSJ) in Badagry, Lagos State.

The lawmaker, who represents Badagry Constituency I, lost the APC ticket in the party’s primary election.

The Starboy Movement, coordinated by Bonu in Badagry, is designed to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and expand support for APC candidates among eligible voters across the constituency.

The initiative was unveiled with campaign materials and party-branded vehicles bearing the candidates’ photographs to support its mobilisation activities.

Addressing members of the campaign team, Bonu urged them to remain committed to their assignment and intensify grassroots engagement ahead of the elections.

“I charge you to go from house to house, door to door and every corner of Badagry Constituency I ahead of the 2027 general election, with a clear focus on moving Badagry forward,” he said.

He also called on constituents and his supporters to participate actively in the elections and vote for all APC candidates, regardless of his political future.

“I remain a party member and, come rain, come shine, do not think that because I am not returning, you will not be voting for the party’s candidates,” he said.

Bonu maintained that his commitment to the APC remained unwavering, urging residents to unite behind the party and demonstrate their support at the polls.

“This is our home, our safe place. Outsiders cannot fix it better than us. We are one body. Come out en masse and vote for APC,” he said.

He further charged the campaign team to intensify door-to-door mobilisation and engage residents across communities to secure widespread support for the party in the 2027 general elections.
