Boko Haram fires rockets into Maiduguri ahead of Buhari’s visit

Boko Haram terrorists have attacked Maiduguri, capital of Borno State, ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the state.

The police on Thursday departed the Presidential Villa in Abuja for Maiduguri ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari visit.

The Nigerian leader left the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 10:00 am.

Buhari is expected to commission multiple projects embarked upon and completed by the administration of Governor Babagana Zulum.

It was reported that Boko Haram terrorists attacked three communities at Ngomari airport general area in Maiduguri.

The terrorists appeared to have targeted the airport as they struck 10:45 am, a few minutes before the arrival of Buhari.
