APC chieftain in A'Ibom hails Eno, others to party

Chief Don Etiebet, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom, has spoken about Gov. Umo Eno’s decision. He emphasized that joining the APC is very key to the development of Akwa Ibom State.

Etiebet said this on Sunday in Uyo. He welcomed the governor and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). They recently joined the APC.

Etiebet described the defections at this time in our nation’s political history as courageous. It is a strategic step to link the state with the federal government.

He said the governor’s move to the APC shows a commitment to progress in Akwa Ibom. It also reflects a dedication to the unity of Nigeria.

The former Minister noted that in the past 24 months in office,  Eno had demonstrated capacity. He has shown that he is a Governor for all Akwa Ibom people.

“I warmly welcome the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Gov. Umo Eno and the PDP Family into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Their decision to join the APC at this pivotal time in our nation’s political history is a courageous step. It is also a strategic step that reflects a commitment to the progress and unity of Akwa Ibom State.

“The goal is to bring it closer to the Federal Government. This is achieved through its able son, the  President of the Senate. He is the third citizen of the country and an APC Leader.

“Governor Eno has demonstrated uncommon leadership and commitment to the development of Akwa Ibom State.

“I particularly commend his bold steps in infrastructure development. These actions have directly and positively impacted the lives of ordinary Akwa Ibomites.

“Governor Eno’s positive and decisive action in reconstructing the long-abandoned road to my village in Oruk Anam is significant. It is more than a blessing to our people.

That road was promised to be fixed by generations of leaders. However, they abandoned it. Finally, it is receiving the attention it deserves under his watch.

The people of Oruk Anam LGA are happy. They will not forget this. The road to development has finally come to them.

“Since assuming office, Governor Eno has shown himself to be a listening leader. He is genuinely attuned to the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

This is clear in his consultative approach to governance. He shows a willingness to prioritize projects that directly affect the grassroots.

“We in the APC welcome and embrace his brand of inclusive leadership. It helps us to build a stronger, more united and friendly Akwa Ibom,” he said.

Etiebet urged all APC members across the state to open their hearts and arms to these new entrants. He encouraged them to build bridges, not walls. Members should focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
