Bassey described the new coach as vibrant and with over 12 years of experience in coaching and could win laurels for the team and make the state proud.
He pledged the support of the State Government, stakeholders and fans to make him succeed in his coaching endeavours.
He charged him to take the team to continental wins as only victory was needed by the fans in the state.
“This coach we are unveiling is a coach with his pedigree, with his experience is a coach that could take us to Eldorado.
“Is a coach that can return us to the continent; allow me to present to you, Coach Fatai Osho. The coach has also worked with Remo Stars, Enyimba FC, and Rivers United FC and we believe as he is here will win laurels.
“So, that is the coach we have gone for, fanatic with experience,” Bassey said.
Osho in his response thanked the state government for the contract and promised to take Akwa United to greater heights.
He added that the only thing the team could add to the beauty of the stadium was the result and success in winning matches.
“Anybody coming here will know that second place is already a failure, I remember my days in Enyimba, there, if you come second, you’ve actually failed.
“Now, l am with the Akwa United which is the most important thing, winning matches. I can’t do this alone, so, I need your cooperation.
“I can assure you that we’re going to work harder to achieve results,” Osho said.
