A’Ibom new commissioners: Eyiboh crosses partisanship borderline
*sends flower bouquets, prayer boxes to PDP friends

Erstwhile spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Eseme Eyiboh has crossed the borderline of political partisanship concerning the appointments and deployments of new members of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council.
The former member of parliament says, “The barricading ropes of partisanship could temporarily be hung on a pole”, while he rejoices with new commissioners in the persons of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, in charge of Lands and Water Resources; Mrs Idongesit Iboro Etiebet, Education, and Uko Essien Udom SAN, Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice.
In a statement dated January 6 with the title, “From My Heart – A Trust Deserving, Invested and Well Earned”, Eyiboh, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), congratulated the trio, saying their “elevation eloquently testifies to Governor Udom Emmanuel’s response to the need to institute best practice by the recruitment of right people into right places to enhance the derivatives of democratic empowerment in the state.”
“In congratulating you, I have derobed myself of any partisan garb and now enthroned in good conscience and fairness on account of your industry, innovativeness and reform mindedness”, he said.
The immediate past chairman, Cross River Basin Development Authority noted that the trio’s assignments were impactful on the threshold of the state’s inalienable socio-economic guarantees and prosperity.
Describing Pastor Umo Eno, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet, and Uko Udom SAN as personal friends, Eseme Eyiboh implored them to “promote the collective aspirations of Akwa Ibom people in their choices”, while “breaking the narrow locust of political prejudices.”
Relying on Frantz Fanon’s philosophy of ‘collective sociopolitical and economic growth’, Eyiboh urged the new commissioners to demonstrate “selfless commitment, focus, and capacity, which have over time been the hallmark of their successes in private enterprises.”
“The responsibility of our tomorrow is on your shoulders. If we get it right, we rejoice; if we fail, we regret”, he said.
