INEC declares Adeleke winner of Osun governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the incumbent Osun State Governor and Accord Party candidate, Ademola Adeleke, winner of the governorship election.
Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, who secured 444,815 votes.
The returning officer, Prof Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, announced the result on Sunday after the collation of results from all 30 local government areas.
African Democratic Congress candidate, Najeem Salaam, came third with 17,180 votes.
