A’Ibom police release screening schedule for applicants

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced that the Police Service Commission Recruitment Board has invited candidates who completed the online registration for the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables to attend the physical and credential screening.

According to DSP Timfon John, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, the screening exercise, which is strictly for indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, will take place from 9 March to 18 April 2026, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm daily, at the state police command headquarters, Uyo.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has announced that the Police Service Commission Recruitment Board has invited candidates who completed the online registration for the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables to attend the physical and credential screening.

According to DSP Timfon John, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, the screening exercise, which is strictly for indigenes of Akwa Ibom State, will take place from 9 March to 18 April 2026, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm daily, at the state police command headquarters, Uyo.

Applicants are required to appear at the screening centre wearing clean white T-shirts and shorts and must present the following mandatory documents arranged in two white flat files:

  • Two recent passport-sized photographs
  • Evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognised hospital
  • Evidence of good character from a traditional ruler or village/district head
  • Certificate of origin duly signed by the Local Government Chairman or Secretary of the applicant’s Local Government Council
  • Original and photocopies of the National Identity Number (NIN) slip print-out
  • Original and photocopies of academic credentials (O-Level results)
  • Birth certificate or declaration of age
  • Printout of the application form
  • Duly completed guarantor’s form
  • Invitation slip

The command emphasised that any candidate who fails to present the required documents will not be considered for the screening exercise.

Applicants are also advised to carefully note their scheduled date and time, as well as other guidelines relating to the screening process.
