Police nab 38-year-old for illegal firearm possession, threats
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a 38-year-old man, Blessing Ime Abel, of Ikot Akpa Ntuen Village in Ukanafun Local Government Area, for alleged unlawful possession of a firearm, threat to life, and possession of suspected illicit substances.
The arrest followed a complaint lodged by a male resident, identified as Emekpo, who reported a case of threatening violence.
Acting swiftly on the report, police operatives were deployed to the area and apprehended the suspect. A search conducted during the arrest led to the recovery of one locally made pistol, one live cartridge, and substances suspected to be illicit drugs.
