EFCC arrests seven suspected Internet fraudsters in A’Ibom

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Uyo Zonal Directorate, on Monday, August 25, 2025, arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters.
They were caught in an early hour sting operation at Uyeh Heaven and Ayam Estates, along Ring Road 3, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The suspects were arrested following actionable intelligence on their involvement in internet crimes.
Dele Oyewale, Head, Media and Publicity, said items recovered from the suspects include five laptops, 10 mobile phones, and an iPad.
He added that the suspects would be charged to court after investigations.
