So-Safe Corps arrests 3 suspects for vandalising transformer

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has arrested three men for vandalising and stealing transformer cables in Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government Area.

According to a press statement issued by the Office of the State Commander, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, the patrol team led by Chief Superintendent of the Corps, Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq, arrested the suspects on May 26, 2024, at about 5.30 pm.

The suspects, Eze Sunday, an ex-convict, Eze John Charles, and Jamilu Danjuma, confessed to the crime and mentioned the third suspect as the receiver of the stolen items.

The suspects and the recovered exhibits, including burnt and separated copper wires, have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.

“This arrest is a testament to the corps’ commitment to tackling vandalism and theft in the state.

“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of Ogun State citizens,” said Commander Ganzallo.
