Ogundele assumes duty as new sector commander in A’Ibom

Mr Lasisi Ogundele, has assumed duty as the new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS6.3 Akwa Ibom State Command.
This was contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Enlightenment/Public Relations Officer, Mr Paul James in Uyo on Wednesday, 8 May 2024.
James said that Ogundele took over from Mr Mathew Olonisaye, who has been redeployed to the National Headquarters, Abuja to serve in another capacity.
He added that Ogundele until his posting to Akwa Ibom command was the Zonal Head of Operations, FRSC Zonal Headquarters, Bauchi State.
According to him, the redeployment is a routine exercise aimed at strengthening the system for enhanced performance and efficiency in Road Traffic Management and Safety Administration in Nigeria.
“Following the recent posting of Senior Officers by the Federal Road Safety Corps, National Headquarters to strategically reposition the Corps for optimal performance.
“The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dauda Biu approved the redeployment of Corps Commander Lasisi Ogundele as the Sector Commander, RS6.3 Akwa Ibom Sector Command,” he said.
James said that Olonisaye in his farewell address thanked the state government, major stakeholders and Akwa Ibom people for the cooperation and support he enjoyed during his stay in the state.
He added that the former sector commander enjoined all to extend the same hand of fellowship to the new sector commander.
