EFCC arrests 23 suspected Internet fraudsters in Ebonyi

Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have arrested twenty-three (23) suspected internet fraudsters in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
Head, Media and Publicity, EFCC, Dele Oyewale, said the suspects were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, May 2, 2024, following actionable intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related activities.
According to him, the commission recovered some items which included one laptop and mobile phones.
He, however, added that the suspects would be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
