UNIUYO librarian, Dr Uduakobong Udoh, is dead

The management of the University of Uyo has announced the death of its Librarian, Dr Uduakobong Oscar Udoh.
Vice Chancellor, Prof Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, said the deceased served in the institution for 15 years before she was appointed university librarian by the Governing Council on April 28, 2023.
In a press release made available to our correspondent in Uyo on Wednesday, Ndaeyo stated that Udoh discharged her duties creditably, as such, the entire university community is pained by the loss and sympathised with the family of the deceased.
“With a deep sense of loss, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Uyo, Prof. Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, on behalf of the University Management wishes to announce the death of the University Librarian, Dr. Uduakobong Oscar Udoh, whose sad event occurred on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
“Late Dr. Uduakobong Oscar Udoh had served the University for 15 years before she was appointed University Librarian by the Governing Council of the University on Friday, April 28, 2023.
“She served creditably well and was truly a round peg in a round hole. Management and indeed the entire University community feel pained by this colossal loss.
“Burial arrangement as announced by the family indicates that the remains of the late Dr. Uduakobong Oscar Udoh will be laid to rest on Friday, February 09, 2024. Commendation Service in honour of the late University Librarian will take place on Friday, February 09, 2024 at Onyeama Ugochukwu Hall, Town Campus at 8.00 am,” he stated.
