PDP govs in closed-door meeting with Wike
Members of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum are in a closed-door meeting with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in his office in Abuja.
The governors, led by the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Muhammed, arrived at Wike’s office around 12:40 pm.
Muhammed was accompanied by the governors of Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri; Plateau, Caleb Muftwang; and Taraba, Agbu Kefas.
Wike, however, led the governors in for the meeting after they arrived in his office.
The governors are meeting with Wike as part of efforts to intervene in the ensuing crisis in Rivers State on Monday, after alleged moves by the minister to impeach governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
