The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, said he would end poverty, and fuel scarcity and complete Ibom Deep Seaport Project (IDSP), if elected president of Nigeria.

According to Tinubu, his completion of the seaport in Lagos State was proof of his experience and ability to complete the IDSP in Akwa Ibom State.

Speaking during the APC presidential campaign in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, Tinubu noted that the power to become president of Nigeria rests on the people.

Besides his avowal of eradicating poverty, Tinubu added that he would also create employment and make Nigerians happy.

He expressed displeasure at the ongoing fuel scarcity in Nigeria and pledged to end the problem as soon as he is sworn into office.

Tinubu said: “God will put you in the right direction to vote for the right person. I guarantee you that fuel scarcity will stop. You will not suffer again. Go and get your PVC and vote for the right person.”

While speaking, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan said the crowd at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium was an indication of the level of acceptance of the APC by the people.

Lawan assured them that Tinubu has the capacity to bring about employment opportunities as well as create entrepreneurial channels for Nigerian women.

He urged leaders and stakeholders of the party in the state to unite to bring APC to the mainstream of Nigerian politics in the interest of their teaming followers.

“We need Akwa Ibom into the mainstream of Nigerian politics. Our leaders in Akwa Ibom; all these crowds are following after us, let’s unite,” he said.
