A’Ibom to investigate abuse of Deeper Life School student

The Akwa Ibom State government has noted with great concern, the complaints by a parent whose child is a student at Deeper Life College, Uyo.
A statement from the Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, on Sunday, noted that the complaints gleaned from social and traditional media relate to the maltreatment and abuse of their child, which happened in the school.
According to him, Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has directed the Commissioner for Education to immediately investigate the complaints and take appropriate action. He added that the state government is committed to the protection of children wherever they may be within its jurisdiction.
