Youth leader seeks two athletes grooming for Bayelsa Marathon

A youth leader and sports enthusiast, Mr Preye Ketebu-Brown has advocated the grooming of two teenagers from Bayelsa State, who excelled in the just concluded 10 kilometres Community Marathon in Lagos.
Ketebu-Brown, Vice President, World Assembly of Youth (WAY) said the teenagers who finished among the first 15 out of thousands of other contestants had potentials to win laurels in future.
According to him, the teenagers, Master Godgift Woyengipreye Agadah, 17 years and Miss Bolouebi Blossom Ebi, 18 years, did Bayelsans proud by emerging with medals at the Lekki 10-Kilometre Road Race held on Jan 29, 2022 in Lagos State.
He said: The youths from Odi (Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA) and Angiama (Sagbama LGA) respectively were among the best runners within the teenage category.
“They gave a good accounts of Bayelsa State youth talent at the competition.
“Their Managers, World Youth Centre Inc. wish to commend Mr Simbi Wabote, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Content Monitoring and Development Board for his inspiration and motivation.
“Also, Prof. Steven Azaiki, member, Federal House of Representatives, Mrs Siawe Rosslyn Doutimi, Bayelsa State Liaison Office (Lagos) and Prince Bodi Arerebo, are appreciated for their support and confidence in the talents of Bayelsa Youths always.
“We wish that this success shall spur more youths to identify and nurture their God given talents for their own benefit and the pride of Bayelsa State.”
The WAY leader urged other well meaning sports enthusiasts and philanthropists to promote sports talents development in youths with a view to engaging them positively.
