National Unity Platform presidential candidate in Uganda, Rober Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, aka, Bobi Wine, has called on the authorities in his country to release the Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems.
It was learnt that the singers were arrested after their performances at The Big Brunch at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Road, Kampala, Uganda for breaking COVID-19 guidelines.
Bobi Wine, who took to his Twitter page to seek for the release of the Nigerian singers, is a well-known reggae star and an actor in Uganda.
He wrote: “There is no rule of law in Uganda. This country runs on orders from a small circle of oppressors, who dispense orders that are implemented without question. There’s absolutely no reason why our brothers should still be detained yet their concert was under police watch #FreeOmahLay.”
