Two senators dump PDP, APC to join forces with Obi, Kwankwaso

Senators Francis Ezenwa Onyewuchi (Imo East) and Haliru Dauda Jika (Bauchi Central) have dumped their political parties.

While Onyewuchi dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the Labour Party, Jika defected from the All Progressives Congress to the New Nigeria Peoples Party.

Their letters of defection were read at plenary by the Senate President.

The lawmakers cited the lack of transparent, internal politics in their former political parties as reasons for their defection.
