Nigerian superstar, Innocent Idibia, aka Tuface or 2baba says he is not bothered on the EndSARS lawsuit filed against him and 49 others, many of whom are celebrities.
An activist one Kenechukwu Okeke, instituted a criminal suit against Tuface Idibia and the other 49 celebrities like Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz, Yemi Alade, Davido, Aisha Yesufu, Deji Adeyanju, and more before the Federal Capital High Court in Abuja, over the #EndSARS protests.
According to Okeke, between October 28 and October 30, 2020 Tuface and the other 49 used their Twitter accounts to conspire among themselves to “commit misdemeanour, to wit promoting or acting in such a manner with intent to assist in the promotion of an unlawful assembly under the guise or composition of #EndSARS.”
Okeke also said that the offence was punishable under Section 97 (2) of the Penal Code Act, C53 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
However, reacting to the suit, which is currently making the rounds on social media, 2baba in a statement by his Manager, Efe Omorogbe, said: “There’s no comment yet. We have not been served any paper. We have not received any formal summon. We can’t respond to what is merely trending on social media until we receive summons, we can’t respond.
