Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has constructed 13 new office blocks for the Nigerian Army’s 3 Battalion at Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The private petroleum pipeline surveillance firm also remodelled 22 existing offices within Sector 1 facilities at the same Effurun Barracks.

Inaugurating the twin projects, the Managing Director of Tantita, Chief Kestin Pondi, said sustainable security could not be delivered by a single institution working in isolation.

According to him, lasting security thrives on effective collaboration between public and private institutions, a principle that forms the foundation of Tantita’s operational strategy in protecting Nigeria’s critical energy infrastructure.

Pondi said the company had worked closely with government security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Army, to curb oil theft, pipeline vandalism and other forms of economic sabotage since its engagement by the Federal Government in August 2022.

He commended the professionalism, discipline and operational leadership of the Nigerian Army, noting that these qualities had contributed significantly to the successes recorded so far.

“Today’s inauguration is not merely about erecting buildings or offices. It represents an investment in people, capacity and operational effectiveness.

“The newly constructed and remodelled facilities are designed to improve coordination, enhance operational readiness and support the welfare of officers and men who put their lives on the line in service to our great nation.

“As Nigeria continues to strengthen its energy security, partnerships such as this will remain essential,” he said.

The managing director reaffirmed Tantita’s belief that effective security must be supported by a conducive environment that promotes efficiency, dignity and professionalism, adding that strong institutions were built not only on clear mandates but also on infrastructure that guaranteed excellence.

Pondi disclosed that the projects, which commenced in August 2025, were delivered in record time, describing the achievement as proof of what could be accomplished when public and private institutions worked together towards a common and lawful goal.

He assured that Tantita would continue to uphold the highest standards of accountability, collaboration and service in support of the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.

He also expressed appreciation to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Project Management Office, security agencies, host communities and Tantita staff for their cooperation, professionalism and trust.

“We look forward to deepening this partnership in the years ahead, in the shared pursuit of peace, security and sustainable development for our great nation,” Pondi said.

In his remarks, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Emmanuel Ejim-Emekah said the facilities would significantly enhance administrative efficiency.

He noted that Nigeria’s crude oil production had continued to improve through sustained collaboration among the Nigerian Army, Tantita and other security partners.

Ejim-Emekah added that partnerships with credible private sector operators such as Tantita had strengthened the operational capacity of troops to combat oil theft, pipeline vandalism and other forms of economic sabotage in the Niger Delta.

“Tantita is doing a lot in support of 6 Division. The company is not only active in Delta State but has also extended its interventions to Rivers and Bayelsa States,” he said.
