Knights of Saint Mulumba last weekend in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital, carried out investiture ceremonies for 47 members who were successful in their trainings into the 4th Degree of the Noble Order.

A statement by the WPRO, St. Dominic Sub-Council, Moyo Essien, KSM, the investiture, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass held at St. Dominic Church of Perpetual Adoration, Dominic Utuk’s Avenue, and celebrated by His Lordship, Most Rev. (Dr.) John Ebebe Ayah was supported by Rev. Fr. Ephraim Ukpe and Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Umoh, KSM, with the Supreme Knight of St. Mulumba, Sir Charles Mbelede, in attendance.

Bishop Ayah, in his Homily, said, “We do not belong to the world. We are citizens of Heaven. We belong to God, and we listen to Him. Anyone who listens to God takes the right decision, and the right decision makes one grow in all kinds of goodness”.

The high point of the event was the investiture of forty-seven Ladies and Gentlemen from 16 Sub-Councils in the Zone of the Order to 4th Degree Knights; presentation of awards to Brothers and Sisters who had successfully brought their Sons into the Order.

Others in attendance during the ceremony were: the Supreme Advocate, Supreme Chancellor, Supreme Warden, Supreme Assistant Secretary and Past Supreme Officers.

Others included: Metropolitan Grand Knight, Past Metropolitan Grand Knight, Metropolitan Council Officers, Past Metropolitan Council Officers, Subordinate Council Grand Knights, Past Grand Knights, Subordinate Council Officers, and Past Subordinate Council Officers.

Earlier, the Supreme Knight, Sir Charles Mbelede, on arrival at Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo, was given a tumultuous welcome by the Metropolitan Grand Knight, Calabar Metropolitan Council, Sir Imoh Ndaeyo, with Executives and members.

Sir Mbelede, who could not hide his joy, thanked the Worthy Metropolitan Grand Knight and his Exco for the warm reception, adding that the pomp was possible due to the commitment and support of Worthy Brothers and Sisters of Zone 4.

The Worthy Metropolitan Grand Knight, Sir Imoh Ndaeyo, while welcoming his guest, eulogised him for the giant strides in rebranding the Knights of St. Mulumba and restoring hope for its progress and service to humanity.

Sir Ndaeyo, however, expressed the commitment of his Exco in ensuring that the Pastoral visit and the 4th Degree Investiture were successful.

The Supreme Knight, during the Pastoral visit to the State, was hosted by the Bishop of Uyo Diocese, His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. John Ebebe Ayah, and treated to warm hospitality at the Pastoral Centre with his entourage.
