Super Falcons arrive in Abuja
The Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived in Abuja following their successful outing at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The 10-time winners of the title arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. They landed aboard a chartered flight on Monday afternoon.
The team arrived at a rousing welcome from fans and government officials, some of whom had waited at the airport for hours to receive their heroines.
The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, welcomed the team on arrival. The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Hanatu Musawa, was also present.
Additionally, the Minister for Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, joined the welcoming government officials.
