Sunday Igboho’s release: Nnamdi Kanu’s disciples hopeful of his freedom

A member of the Indigenous People of Biafra has expressed joy over the release of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.

Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the IPOB said that Igboho’s release shows that Kanu is next to taste freedom.

He made the remark while noting that he personally spoke with Igboho on phone to confirm his release.

In a tweet, Ekpa commended the President of Benin Republic for ensuring the release of Igboho.

According to Ekpa: “I have just spoken to my brother and friend Chief Sunday Igboho, a few minutes ago on the phone and I can confirm he is a free person.

“I must thank the President of Benin for his role in freeing Chief Igboho, the next is our Leader MNK. Congratulations to my Oduduwa! Freedom!”

Igboho regained freedom on Monday in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

The pioneer of Oduduwa Republic was released by the Government of the Republic of Benin on Monday.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the umbrella body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide.

The spokesman said the Government of Benin Republic handed over Igboho IOO leader, Prof. Banji Akintoye.
