Salesrun 2022 Marathon: 1,000 to participate mini-marathon

The organisers of the ‘Salesrun 2022’ Marathon, Vindi Integrated Industries Ltd, on Monday said that the maiden edition of the race would attract over 1,000 participants from the Sales Department of corporate organisations in Lagos.

The Head, Corporate Communication, Vindi Integrated Industries Ltd, Omobolanle Frank-Odiase said this in a media briefing at So Fresh Cafe, Opebi, Lagos.

Frank-Odiase said the maiden ‘Salesrun 2022’ Marathon which would see the runners take off at the National Stadium Surulere and end at Eko Atlantic would be held on Friday, Feb. 19.

“The ‘Salesrun 2022’ is a first sales gathering to offer 3-fold fitness, namely; Physical, Mental, and intellectual benefits for the participants.

“We are aware of the problems caused in the past two years to the sales and economy by the COVID-19 pandemic, so this year is gearing up to be an amazing year in which we need to set audacious goals.

“More than any other resource, salespeople will play a vital role in pushing these organizations over the mark. Salespeople are the movers and shakers of any company; they truly are, being responsible for securing the revenue, blood, on which the company runs.

“To be able to meet targets, sales executives have to be in tip-top excellent form, physically, mentally, emotionally and strategically to deliver. This is one of the reasons for the race,” she said.

Frank-Odiase said that the Salesrun 2022 aimed to host the largest of salespeople and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to shape the trajectory of corporate success in the year 2022.

“The event was designed to stir up salespeople in some of the most competitive companies to shake off the Holiday fat and fatigue and gear up to achieve outstanding results in the new year.

“Highlights will include an inspiration talk, sales talk, good music, exercises, and mental positioning.

“The Feb. 19 will be an epoch-making day for corporate Nigeria. we are imploring other salespeople to join thousands of top performers from the best companies in Nigeria for the Micro-Marathon.

“The facilitators at the event are; Victor Kalu, Award-Winning Innovation and Sales Expert, and Muyiwa Afolabi, Success Coach, Kemen, and other Best Fitness Trainers in Lagos,” she said.

Frank-Odiase added that other benefits of the micro-marathon include world-class inspiration from the facilitators.
