Police partner media to strengthen security

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, has urged the media to partner with the police strengthen the security architecture of Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

Speaking while receiving the General Manager of the Nigerian Television Authority, Channel 10, Lagos, Mr Adegbinrin Kamarudeen and his team in his office on Wednesday, the CP asked the media to project Nigeria’s image at all costs.

The who was with the Deputy Commissioners of Police, Administration and Operations, DCP Etim Oqua and Mohammed Ali, respectively, also urged the media to portray the police in a positive light as their views count on the rating of the Nigerian polity.

Responding, the NTA 10, Lagos GM, assured the police of their constant support in promoting policies on effective policing of Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

He further assured that the station will design some programmes that will showcase the achievements of the police and encourage the general public to key into the concept of Community Policing as championed by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed A Adamu, NPM, mni.
