Police arrest man, recover firearm, four cartridges

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested one Conference Nyerhovwo during a stop-and-search operation.

It was gathered that Nyerhovwo, who hails from Jesse Town in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, was apprehended on Thursday, 1 September 2022.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, said on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, 7 September 2022, that a gun and four cartridges were found on him when the police on patrol duty searched his bag.

He said: “Conference Nyerhovwo, he hails from Jesse Town in Ethiope West LGA Delta State, he was intercepted by policemen on patrol duty on 1/9/2022 and upon searching his bag, the gun and four cartridges were recovered.

“Another important reason for stop and search.”
