The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the deadly attack on Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, where armed bandits killed the Vice Principal, Hassan Yakubu Makuku, and abducted 25 students.

The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, on Monday, 17 November 2025, described the incident as another grim reminder of the escalating insecurity confronting Nigerians, blaming the Tinubu-led APC administration for what it called a persistent failure to prioritise citizens’ safety over political considerations.

“When a government fails in its primary duty of safeguarding lives and property, it must accept responsibility and confront the issues decisively, rather than remain aloof or resort to diversionary tactics,” the PDP stated.

The party commiserated with the parents of the abducted students, the family of the slain Vice Principal, as well as the management, staff, and students of the school, and the Kebbi State Government.

It noted that the Maga school attack adds to a series of recent abductions in Nasarawa, Plateau, Kano, and Katsina, lamenting that such incidents betray the promises of renewed hope made to Nigerians.

The PDP urged President Bola Tinubu to urgently prioritise national security and take concrete steps to protect lives and property, warning that the cycle of violence must not be allowed to continue. “Let the killings stop,” the statement read.
