Osun police rescue two kidnapped Chinse nationals

Osun State Police Command have rescued two Chinese nationals, Messrs Zhao Jian ‘m’, 33 and Wen ‘m’, 50, who were kidnapped on April 5, 2021 at Okepa/Itikan Village, a gold mining site in the Ifewara area of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Olawale Olokode, was said to have instantly sent out a combined reinforcement of Police Tactical units, JTF, and other security outfits to rescue the abducted Chinese nationals unhurt from wherever they might be taken to.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, while confirming the rescue operation noted that the two Chinese nationals were rescued at about 9 pm, Wednesday, April 7 unhurt through intelligence gathering and expertise mechanism.
Olawoyin, however, assured that the police are intensifying efforts in arresting all those who were involved in the kidnap of the Chinese.
She said: “Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to arrest the devil in human clothing, who carried out the kidnapping.”
The state Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode appealed to members of the public to support, cooperate, and collaborate with the police in the fight against crimes in state.
He also urged members of public to avail the police credible and prompt information to help forestall future incident.
