One adult male lost his life on Friday morning at the Oshodi area of Lagos State when a truck lost control and rammed into a commercial bus and a taxicab.

Head, Public Affairs, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, said the situation report on the road crash had it that, “A trailer with number plate KJA 138 XD was discovered to ram into a commercial bus with number plate AAA 338 XY, and a Honda taxicab with number plate FKJ 163 AW.

He added that LASEMA officials in the early hours of Friday raced to the scene to clear the wreckage and pave way for other vehicles and commuters.

“To avoid the impediments, LASEMA’s Response Team recovered the corpse of a yet to be identified victim, towed the articulated vehicle, the bus and the Honda taxicab to make way for free flow of traffic in the ever-busy Oshodi way.

“Further investigation revealed that the accident was due to brake failure from the trailer before running into the vehicles.

“An adult male lost his life, while two others sustained various injuries. The injured victims were taken care of by the agency’s Bravo team.

“The victim has been bagged and handed over to Police Officers from Akinpelu Police Station, while the trailer and other vehicles were recovered from the road with the agency’s super metro and handed over to the Police,” he said.
