Ogun So-Safe arrests men for burglary

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has arrested two men for breaking into a residential building and stealing some property.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf.

The statement read that the officers of the corps in Ado-Odo/Ota Zonal Command under AC Tajudeen Odunmbaku on information deployed its men to Agoro community to counter burglary activities in progress in the area.

Ganzallo noted that at about 0100hrs on 22nd. February, 2024, there was an emergency call from the said community needing a prompt response of the corps and the officers swung into action immediately, and at 0126hrs, two suspects, Toyeeb Yekini and Ajie Victor were intercepted on motorbike.

The commander said the suspects confessed to having come to the said area almost two hours before the current burglary took place and stole a 7.5kva alternator diesel generator put off by the suspects while in use.

Ganzallo further said that  the generator was recovered from where it was kept at Ilepa in Ifo Local Government Area.

He explained that the apprehended suspects confessed further that they decided to return to carry out the second criminal act to steal a petrol generator in the same generator room before they were stopped on the road by officers of the corps.

The suspects revealed that there was a man otherwise called Ndomie at Ijako who bought the stolen items.

The followings were also listed  as members of their team stirring the water of peace in Agoro axis; Omo  Wise, Mtn, Foldest and Shuaib.

Ganzallo said that the suspects and the exhibits have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Sango Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
