In a remarkable act of community empowerment, Mr Iniubong Imo Unah, the current Mr Akwa Ibom USA for 2022/2023, has returned to his roots in Ikot Obio Offong, Akwa Ibom State, to donate desks to the pupils and management of Lutheran Primary School.

Doing the presentation Tuesday, July 25, 2023, Unah sought to create a conducive environment for academic advancement and cultivate a spirit of support and growth among the students.

During the event, Unah, a native of Ikot Obio Offong, emphasized the importance of education and the power of communal support.

Represented by Hon. Prince Solomon Andrews, Unah expressed his belief that “despite the chaotic and competitive nature of Nigeria, it is our unwavering drive to succeed that sets us apart.”

He encouraged the young pupils to view themselves as seeds, with their primary goal being continuous growth in all aspects of life.

According to Unah, the desks donated symbolize the support necessary to nourish their academic growth.

He stressed the importance of reciprocating this support by assisting others whenever possible, citing the popular musician Davido’s mantra: “We rise by lifting others.”

Unah urged the pupils to remember this philosophy and strive to grow not only personally but also as a collective, as it opens doors for opportunities and greater accomplishments.

As the pupils of Lutheran Primary School embrace the desks and Unah’s message of growth and support, their educational journey is set to be propelled to new heights. They are now equipped with tangible tools to aid their academic development, instilling a sense of motivation and dedication within each student.

Unah’s donation serves as a shining example of how individuals can make a difference in their communities by empowering the youth and championing educational excellence.
