Many trapped in 21-storey collapsed building in Lagos

Many people including the owner of the collapsed 21-storey building, Wale Bob, has been trapped in the rubbles.
The 21-storey building which is located at Musliu Junction, Ikoyi, Lagos State, collapsed around 2 pm, according to an eyewitness.
Director-General/Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said the agency has activated its emergency response plan to the above incident.
According to him, all first responders are en route to secure the scene while the heavy-duty equipment and life detection equipment have been dispatched.
As at 3:39 pm, spokesman of the agency, Nosa Okunbor, said responders were on ground to salvage the situation.
