Majekodunmi assumes duty as new NSCDC commandant in A’Ibom

Mr Abidemi Majekodunmi, has assumed duty as the 12th State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Akwa Ibom Command.

This was contained in press statement issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, Mr Ukeme Umana, in Uyo and made available to newsmen on Monday.

Umana in the statement said that Majekodunmi, took over from State Commandant Samuel Fadeyi, who has been redeployed to Cross River.

He added the new state Commandant has worked in different NSCDC command across the country before being posted to Akwa Ibom by the Commandant General Abubakar Ahmed Audi.

He said that Mojekodunmi holds a master’s degree in crime management and was ready to reposition the command to ensure effective service delivery.

“This is to inform the public that a new State Commandant have been deployed to the state based on the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abubakar Ahmed Audi, vision and mission to reposition the Corps.

“He is Commandant Abidemi Majekodunmi. He holds a master’s degree in Crime Management. Majekodunmi has served in various command in different capacities,” Umana said.

He said that the new state commandant has promised to work in collaboration with Government and other security agencies in the state to ensure adequate protection of government critical infrastructure.

He appealed for useful information and support from members of the public concerning crimes and criminalities to enable the command deliver on its mandate.
