He said: “There is a need for the performance review of the 2021 budget for a readjustment to take care of our prioritised needs if not many ongoing projects will be put on hold.

“Some department have excess while some has exhausted their votes so there is a need to do a regular budget appraisal and readjustment.

“Our priorities such as rehabilitation of roads, construction of drainages provision of primary health care, empowerment, security and education must be given due consideration.

“After the readjustment, the budget will be passed to the legislative arm for approval,” the council boss said.

The chairman appealed to the legislative arm for a speedy passage of the adjusted budget to facilitate road projects for ease of traffic as the Yuletide approaches.

“It is certain this administration will deliver dividends of democracy to the community in fulfilment of our campaign promises. “Both the civil servants and the elective officers will all work in unity to take Ikorodu local government to an enviable height.”
