Lagos CP pays tributes to Jakande’s family

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, on Friday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Governor of Lagos State, Chief Lateef Jakande, at his Ilupeju residence.

Odumosu, who arrived at the house of Chief Jakande  at 10.10 am, was received by the wife, children and relations of the former Governor of Lagos State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

He said the CP, while commiserating with the family, the government, and the good people of Lagos State, he described the late nationalist as a man of the people, who had written his name in gold in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.

According to him, Odumosu affirmed that Pa Jakande’s death will create a vacuum in many spheres of the society, particularly in Lagos State. 

Odumosu prayed that God grants his family, the government, and the good people of Lagos State the fortitude to bear the loss, and grants baba Al-janat Fiduas.
