Hoodlums burn another police station, vehicles in Imo

Hoodlums said to be angry youths, on Tuesday burnt another police station at Ishinweke in Ihitte/Uboama Local Government Area of Imo State and vehicles.

This is happening days after some hoodlums attacked and burnt down a police station in Aboh Mbaise LGA of the state.

The youths were said to have engaged the officers on duty in a gun battle and injured a policewoman and carted away ammunitions.

It was gathered that the burning of the Ihitte Uboma Police Station, was allegedly triggered by the killing of two siblings in their house linked to policemen attached to the burnt station.

At the time of filing this report, the policemen on duty sighting the angry youths took cover and abandoned the station with their belongings.
