FRSC to deploy 385 personnel in A’Ibom council polls – Official

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Akwa Ibom Sector Command says it will deploy 385 personnel to ensure adequate flow of traffic, free and fair Councils elections on October 31.
The Sector Public Enlightenment Officer, Mr Julius Agwu, said this in a statement issued in Uyo and made available to journalists on Friday.
Agwu said that the personnel would work in collaboration with other sister agencies in the state to ensure free, fair, and credible council elections.
He said that the personnel had already been briefed and cautioned to operate in line international best practice.
He urged the personnel to remain civil, respect the rights of all road users and the electorates that would be going to cast their votes.
“The Federal Road Safety Corps Akwa Ibom State Sector Command in collaboration with other sister Agencies in the State in a bid to ensuring free and fair Local Government elections coming up on Saturday Oct. 31, 2020, in Akwa Ibom State has deployed 385 personnel of the Command in all the polling units across the State.
“The personnel, who were adequately briefed are to operate within the confines of the rule and to work with other security Agencies in their units,” Agwu said.
