A former employee with WAZOBIA FM, Hillary Okechukwu, has reportedly died of suicide.
Okechukwu was said to have died of suicide on Friday, which was a day after he was forced to resign from the radio station.
A source said Okechukwu, who had spent a decade in the radio station, was a Sales Executive.
However, a friend and colleague of the deceased, Mr. Bolarinwa Olajide took to his Twitter page and wrote: “People are going through a lot, and sacking people unjustly is the last thing an employer should do in these times.
“A friend was sacked and took his life the following day. Do not test people’s mental health. Nigeria is hard enough. RIP Hilary O.”
