FG approves FRSC PRO’s appointment as DCP

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has approved the promotion of the spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem, to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCP).

Kazeem, who until promotion was an Assistant Corps Marshal, is to represent the South-West geopolitical zone of the country, according to a statement signed by Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, Charles Edem, on Friday.

The Corps Marshal, Dauda Biu, urged the appointed officer to show more commitment and rededicate himself to achieving the corporate mission of the agency.

Biu was quoted as saying that “the exercise is part of the commission’s drive towards rewarding excellence, diligence and hard work which is in line with the administrative philosophy of the present leadership of the corps.”

Kazeem, who presently heads the Corps Public Education Office is a seasoned road safety administrator who has held several positions of authority and attended so many courses both within and outside the country.

He has a Master of Science in Transport Studies from the Ogun State University and a Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies from the University of Ilorin.

He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), a fellow of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, the International Association of Chiefs of Police in the United States; and an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
