The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, says the police have deployed enough men to prevent any form of violence during the Osun State governorship election.

Adejobi stated that so far, the people are orderly and ready to exercise their voting right.

“Forget the noise on social media. Everything is going on fine here. The people are orderly and ready to exercise their voting right.

“We have deployed our men to various locations in the state to forestall any form of violence. So far, the people of the state are exhibiting the virtues of Omoluabi.

“There is no need to resort to violence because you want to govern the people. I am sure no one wants to govern the dead,” he said.

On her own part, Joe Okei-Odumakin of Women Arise and a member of the monitoring team said she had been to some polling units in Ede, Estate, and other places in Osogbo and noted also that the people are orderly.

“And the security operatives are equally on the ground. The ambience is calm. This is an improvement over the Ekiti governorship election,” she said.
