Eid-el-Kabir: So-Safe deploys tactical team across Ogun State borders
The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has deployed over 1,000 personnel to strengthen security and safety in Ogun State and its environs during the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
According to a press statement issued by the State Commander of So-Safe Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo, through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, the agency is working in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force to fortify the state’s borders and ensure a peaceful celebration.
The statement added that all zonal commanders have been directed to deploy officers and men to strategic locations, ensuring a robust security platform for law-abiding citizens in both rural and urban areas from June 12 to June 20, 2024.
Ganzallo warned that any criminal elements attempting to disrupt the peace during the festive period will be met with a special strategy in place, which includes monitoring indigenes and outsiders who may be recruited to spread criminal activities.
He assured Imams and scholars of a hitch-free Eid festival and advised the Muslim faithful to celebrate within their financial means.
