Court rejects Dr Adedoyin bail over Timothy Adegoke’s murder
An Osun State High Court sitting in Osogbo has denied the bail application filed on grounds of health to the founder of Oduduwa University and owner of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Dr Rahmon Adedoyin.
Adedoyin and some of his employees are on trial for the alleged killing of late Timothy Adegoke, a Master’s degree student at Obafemi Awolowo, Ile Ife, Osun State.
The deceased was reported dead and buried in a shallow grave when he lodged in one hotel belonging to Dr Adedoyin.
Adedoyin was first arraigned in Abuja before he was transferred to Oshogbo on the request of Femi Falana, SAN representing the family.
He was arraigned and remanded until Monday for ruling on their bail application.
Justice Adepele-Ojo, in her ruling on the bail application, held that counsel to the defendant had sought bail based on health grounds.
She also noted that the prosecution, in its counter application, said that Adedoyin had already commenced treatment in Abuja.
