Bayelsa police arrest two suspects for vandalising/stealing Airtel Telecom Mast inverter Batteries

The operatives of Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing Airtel telecom Mast inverter Batteries.
The suspects one Preye Prekeme ‘m’ 25 years and one England Ito ‘m’ 43 years.
They were arrested following a report that an Airtel Mast at Opukuma Community, Kolokuma/Opukuma LGA, was vandalised and inverter batteries were stolen.
The suspects were intercepted by Police Operatives, at Igbogene, Yenagoa, on 20 February 2021 around 1045 hours while conveying 20 inverter Batteries in a Ford 14- seater bus with number plate ABN 413 YP and RAV4 Toyota Jeep with number plate JJJ 975 GQ.
This was contained in a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, SP Asinim Butswat on Sunday.
The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State Command, CP Mike Okoli fsi, has ordered for full scale Investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
