Bandits kill 15, injured many in fresh attacks

An indigene of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Alhaji Musa Bawa, said 11 residents had died and many others shot.

A statement released on Friday, Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, confirmed the attack and, said that the state government had received information from security agencies that bandits had attacked Rafin Sarki in Giwa LGA and that 11 locals had been confirmed dead.

He named the victims as Abdullahi Musa, Adamu Musa, Aminu Nasiru, Adamu Ibrahim, Yau Usman Ladan, Yunusa Saidu, Salisu Abdulrahman, Fati Usman, Yakubu Ya’u, and Marwanu Ibrahim, along with one other person.

He continued by saying that two other people, named Idon Bonos and Aston Namaskar, were killed in the settlements of Cibiya and Karamai in the Kajuru LGA’s Kufana, and two more, Salisu Mai Tireda and Mohammed Maikaba, were killed in the Birnin Gwari LGA’s Damari.
