A rights and good governance advocacy group in Nigeria, the Center For Human Rights and Accountability Network (CHRAN) has criticized the 2024 Appropriation Bill of the Akwa Ibom State Government under considerable in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
The position of the CHRAN was signed by its Director, Otuekong Franklyn Isong, and Secretary, Comrade (Barr.) Christopher Ekpo, and presented by its Director in a Public Hearing organized by the House Committee on Appropriation and Finance of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, today, Friday, 1st December, 2023, at the House of Assembly hall, Uyo.
The centre called on the House of Assembly to thoroughly scrutinise the 2024 Appropriation Bill presented by the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno to come out with the best for the Akwa Ibom masses in 2024.
