CHRAN director to chair 2026 Ibom Golf Tourney
The Director of the Centre for Human Rights and Accountability Network (CHRAN), Otuekong Franklyn Isong, has been appointed Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the 2026 All White End of Year Tournament, organised by the Ibom Golf & Country Club.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday, 3rd August 2026, by the Club’s Captain, Mr Isuamfon Archibong, who confirmed that the annual golfing event will hold on Saturday, 26th December 2026, at the Championship Golf Course of Ibom Hotels & Golf Resort, Nwaniba, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Isong, a long-standing golfer and member of the Club, will lead the committee alongside Blessing Francis, who will serve as Secretary. Other committee members named in the statement are Edidiong Inyang, Victor Ukpong, Yurii Edukere and Gideon Ekanem.
The statement added that the Club’s Competition Secretary, Mr Onofiok Onofiok, will serve in an advisory capacity, alongside a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Akwa Ibom State, Chief Victor Iyanam, and a former First Lady of the state, Her Excellency Mosunsola Idongesit-Nkanga, who will serve as Father of the Day and Mother of the Day respectively.

Reacting to the appointment, CHRAN commended its Director and the other appointees, expressing confidence that they would deliver a successful tournament capable of boosting Akwa Ibom State’s tourism potential, in line with the ARISE Agenda of the state’s Executive Governor, Pastor Umo Eno.
