Anger as Seyi Tinubu urges Nigerians to endure amid hardship

Seyi, the son of President Bola Tinubu, provoked a chorus of condemnation on Monday after he urged Nigerians to be patient with the current administration.

In an Instagram post, Seyi pleaded with Nigerians to endure the current economic hardship.

Seyi, while quoting his dad in the post, said Nigerians need to endure the trying times for “a better future”.

“There is no joy in seeing the people of this nation shoulder burdens that should have been shed years ago. I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future,” – President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola A Tinubu,” he wrote

Seyi’s post, however, did not go down well with a plethora of Nigerians on X (formerly Twitter).

While some users tackled him over his “opulence lifestyle”, others wondered if “perseverance in Tinubu’s government would pay their bills or feed them”.

“Seyi Tinubu should leave Instagram & walk on the streets of Lagos without escort. To gauge the feeling of Lagosians. As a sure boy he is, Wasiu & MC Uluomo will protect him,” a user wrote.

“Seyi Tinubu wear Richard Mille for hand dey tell me make I endure hardship wey him papa cause,” another user asked.
