Fire guts warehouse in Lagos

There was a fire outbreak at Flux Logistics Company, Oba Akran, Ikeja, Lagos State, on Sunday, 2 April 2023.
Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said this in his situation report.
According to him, upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a warehouse owned by Flux logistics company, used for storing Jameson Alcoholic drinks was ablaze.
“The cause of the inferno could not be immediately ascertained but the combined effort to put out the inferno by LRU and Lagos state fire and rescue service has been successful.
“The fire has been curtailed from spreading to adjoining factories under the supervision of the PS LASEMA at the scene.
“No injury was recorded at the scene of the incident but properties worth millions were damaged by the fire,” he said.
He added that dampening down exercise is ongoing.
Meanwhile, Oke-Osanyintolu said that one fully loaded tanker with fuel was burning right on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway by Maycaman.
He called on the fire brigade van to rush to the place to save the situation.
